Queer Aliens Invade Atlanta!

At least they will in less than two weeks…

Gaylaxicon 2013 comes to Atlanta, Georgia May 3-5. There’s still time to register, so if you can get away that weekend, do it! I’ve got to work that weekend, or I’d be there myself.

What is Gaylaxicon? It’s only one of the biggest queer/geek scifi convention in North America. The first Gaylaxicon was held in Provincetown, Massachusetts in 1988. There have been 20 Gaylaxicons since then, mostly in the northeast. 2013 marks its 3rd return to Atlanta. There’s a great program of events lined up, including film festivals, cosplay events, writer’s workshops, and more. As for the guest list, it speaks for itself:

  • Authors Eugie Foster, Melissa Scott, Amy Griswold, Lee Martindale, Kaye Allen, Kiernan Kelly, Angelia Sparrow, Warren Rochelle, Dennis R. Upkins, Kage Alan, T. C. Blue, Shae Connor, K. Piet, Ally Blue, and Eden Winters.
  • Filmmaker David DeCoteau.
  • Sabrina Pandora, Moxie Magnus, and still more.

With a registration fee of only $50, Gaylaxicon 2013 promises to be a bargain, and one of the best queer events of the year. Go for it!
